The Diagnostic Imaging service provides clinical support to the Foster Hospital for Small Animals and the Hospital for Large Animals. The service also supports the teaching mission of the Department of Clinical Sciences. The work areas of the diagnostic imaging service include small animal and large animal radiology, SA ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.

The Diagnostic Imaging/Nuclear Medicine position will provide technical support for clinical cases and investigational research, primarily in Nuclear Medicine, provide technical support in other areas of the radiology department where needed. This position will assist in student and resident teaching of Nuclear Medicine and provide quality Nuclear Medicine service to a variety of clinicians and researchers on clinical cases and research projects. This position will provide cross-training in other areas of the department. This position will be scheduled on a rotating schedule and may provide on-call coverage on rotating weekends (when trained in other modalities such as CT) and technical coverage on a rotating weekend day as needed.


Basic Requirements:

Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program with 1-3 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine or as a Veterinary Technician in Diagnostic Imaging. Word, Excel, Power Point. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

RT in Nuclear Medicine or CVT. 3+ years of related experience, experience in a veterinary teaching hospital, strong computer background and experience in related Radiology disciplines.
