RESEARCH COORDINATOR

Job description

Duties: The position has primary project management responsibility on a large, complex, school-based research and development study. Duties include coordinating all research and development activities according to project timelines and goals; organizing professional development activities; planning and participating in project meetings; maintaining project databases; communicating with funders, IRB, research participants, and collaborators; assisting researchers with all stages of research and writing. The job will involve collection of field data through interviewing, classroom observation, and other techniques, and will entail assisting in some research activities, including design of data collection instruments, conducting analyses and report writing. This position will require limited travel. Contingent upon continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree preferred) and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience in education environments strongly preferred. Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills are necessary. Experience with qualitative data collection and analysis desirable. Must be proficient using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) Experience as a classroom teacher a plus.
