Posting Summary:
The Biocomplexity Institute seeks a Lead IT Support Analyst to provide technical support for desktop, mobile computing, and client/server technology. This exciting new initiative provides a huge opportunity to grow the breadth and depth of biocomplexity research for Virginia and the nation.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Eight years of relevant experience in these disciplines may be considered in lieu of a degree. Three years of relevant experience in the above disciplines, or help desk support, IT customer service, or another related field are required. Knowledge of network fundamentals, IP protocol and fundamental troubleshooting techniques are all required. The ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base, provide support, consultation, and training in computer systems technology is essential. The ability to effectively communicate troubleshooting techniques to novice computer users and provide follow-up and documentation is required. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Operating Systems are required. Applicants with experience providing IT support in higher education or a research focused operation are preferred.
