Works with teachers in the classroom to help students. Supervises the classroom in teacher's absence. Completes paperwork under the teacher's direction. Substitutes for teachers grade K-12. May fill in for other employees at the direction of the principal. May include other student supervisory duties as needed.


High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of post-high school education required.


Bachelor's degree with experience working in a school setting.
Florida Teaching Certificate

Anticipated Salary Range

Teaching Assistant - starting at $10.25 per hour, up to $13.50 per hour based on qualifications.
Paid Bi-Weekly

OPS/Temporary Job


Monday through Friday
Hours will vary accordingly to schedule.
This includes 180 school days plus one week of pre-planning before the students begin.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting, with the cost being the responsibility of the successful candidate.. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11. Re-certification is required at 5 year intervals (at the employee's expense).
