Job Summary/Responsibilities:

The Department of Genetic Counseling in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston is seeking a full time Director of Research to start January 1, 2019.

The Director of Research (DR) is primarily responsible for the oversight of all student Capstone research projects and for the coordination and evaluation of student research experiences. Additionally, the DR is responsible for the Capstone research curriculum, teaching in the associated research courses, and developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with internal and external researchers and statisticians. The successful applicant will also be expected to take part in scholarly and professional activities.



Qualifications


Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with the genetic counseling field, teaching, research process, quantitative and qualitative statistics, IRB, and other related subjects. Genetic counseling program leadership experience is preferred and a strong publication history is required. The candidate must minimally have a Master's degree and be credentialed in their field, as appropriate, and have at least 3 years of work experience. Faculty academic rank is commensurate with experience.
