Essential Job Duties: The Appliance Services Supervisor for DASA Facilities diagnoses and repairs large appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, ovens, washers, and dryers) and is responsive to our residents' large appliance repair needs. The Appliance Services Supervisor serves as a working supervisor and is responsible for the following: overseeing and responding to large appliance (refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, ovens, washers, and dryers - appliances may be powered by either electricity or gas) work orders, using diagnostic tools including such tools as a multi-volt meter and refrigerant charging gauges to identify issues, creating and maintaining an inventory of necessary repair parts and is responsible for ordering repair parts for DASA Facilities's large appliances, using the TMA work order program to order parts, track work order status, and prepare preventive maintenance schedules on all appliances, establishing a work shop and determining the necessary tools to accomplish required tasks, maintaining of a DASA Facilities vehicle, and assisting other trade groups as needed. The Appliance Services Supervisor will conduct strategic planning and make financial recommendations to the leadership team concerning our ten year capital improvement plan. The position will also evaluate our operation and implement new programs to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Department Required Skills: - Experience in appliance repair or related field. - Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, ovens, washers, and dryers. - Supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team. - Good customer service skills. - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: - 5+ years of experience in appliance repair.
Necessary Licenses and Certifications: Valid North Carolina driver's license is required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
