LAB TECHNICIAN PERIODONTICS A/B
Duties: We seek a lab technician to join our group. The technician will assist senior -level researchers on various supervised research projects within the lab. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with techniques in mouse husbandry, histology and molecular and cellular biology. Previous experience in molecular biology molecular cloning, western blot, DNA isolation, RNA extraction, and PCR is preferred; other training will be provided as needed. You will also assist in the care of mice colonies. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. The position will occasionally include working for a few hours on the weekend to check on mouse colonies.
Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Basic knowledge of laboratory environment and procedures require, and experience preferred, along with understanding of animal and experiment protocol. The position requires computer literacy, excellent organizational skills and communication skills, both oral and written.
Lab Technician A: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 0-1 year of related experience in laboratory environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lab Technician B: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year to 2 years of related experience in laboratory environment working with animals, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
