MGR RES PROJECT A

Job description

Duties: Provides daily management for multi-site quality improvement and research project(s) working in collaboration with the Principal Investigator(s), Co-investigator(s), and other project team members to ensure the integrity of the project. Coordinates project participant recruitment and enrollment processes. Manages systems for data collection, quality control and compliance. Assists in preparing financial, regulatory and technical progress reports. Assists in preparing and submitting publications and presentations; manages bibliographic databases; prepares data summaries. Works with Veterans Affairs /Penn budgetary staff to ensure accuracy of funds.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred. Prior experience with study protocol implementation, QI process improvement, IRB/regulatory office compliance management and reporting needed is a plus. Strong writing and data management skills are essential. Prior Veterans Affairs experience a plus.

Experience working with a diverse population and explaining a complex study in lay terms is required. Knowledge of health care settings, in particular Veterans Affairs medical centers, and IRB requirements, is strongly desired. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required with the ability to creatively problem solve and multi-task; ability to work independently as well as part of a research team. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and database management; Experience with electronic medical records, EndNote referencing software and statistical programs is preferred. Knowledge of and proficiency with SPSS, SAS, or Stata desired. Infrequent evening and weekend work is required. Valid driver's license and car are required for local travel. Background check required. Position contingent upon funding.
