Usual Duties: The Assistant/Associate Dean is a critical member of the college's administrative leadership team and participates in university-wide initiatives. The Assistant/Associate Dean is expected to assist the Dean of the College in dealing with the needs of faculty, staff, and students of the College, provide oversight and evaluation for college-wide initiatives, and oversee and execute college-specific tasks. The Assistant/Associate Dean will also support the college in developing and directing planning, policies, programs and operations assigned by the Dean.

Other Requirements for the Position: Earned doctorate or terminal degree. PhD preferred. A record of high quality performance as an educator, evidence of scholarly achievement, and experience in administration at the medical school level. Must demonstrate human relations and managerial skills and an understanding of disciplines which comprise the College. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
