Program Developer

Job description



Position Summary:

The Program Developer is responsible for the development and implementation of courses, programs, training and business services delivered by the Correctional Education and Special Populations department in the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. The Program Developer is responsible for performing technical and administrative functions and general secretarial duties to support the enrollment, instructional and marketing activities. The Program Developer works with students, faculty and instructors, contract customers, staff and senior administrators.

Salary Range: $42,232-$52,790

Supervisory Responsibilities:

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: Develops, organizes, and supports the enhancement and implementation of innovative noncredit and credit open enrollment and contract training. Prepares new and updates existing courses and certificate documentation.

STRATEGIC PLANNING: Not performed at Program Developer level.

LEARNING OUTCOMES ASSESSMENT: Organizes and supports the implementation of courses and programs and ensures best practices including identifying and achieving specific measurable outcomes and college competencies are evident in all learning activities. Implements strategies based on results to continuously direct course improvement and promote student achievement.

ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT: Supports daily operations associated with program/course delivery. Organizes and supports the implementation of strategies to achieve departmental and school enrollment and revenue goals.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COLLABORATION: Collaborates with other AACC department staff to promote a unified approach to program delivery.

SUPERVISION: Not performed at Program Developer level.

MARKETING: Supports departmental and school-wide marketing efforts through distribution of printed and electronic materials, interfacing with prospective/potential students, community organizations, other AACC department staff, etc. Assists with keeping the departmental webpages up-to-date.

BUDGET AND FISCAL MANAGEMENT: Assists departmental staff by providing budget management support through data entry, running reports in Colleague, creating requisitions, and processing LOAs, etc.

COMPLIANCE: Assures compliance of programs with accrediting organizations, regulatory agencies, college policies, relevant state regulations and any specific licensure or certification requirements.

OTHER DUTIES: As assigned by Coordinator, Director, Assistant Dean and/or Dean.



Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree required.

Minimum of two years of increasing responsibility in course/program administration and development, teaching or training, or closely related work experience.

Minimum two years experience in fiscal and budget management support functions.

Minimum one year experience in supporting various marketing strategies including website, email and social media.

Ability to utilize college standard word processing, spreadsheets and database systems at an intermediate level.

Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive environment and the ability to deal tactfully with all internal and external constituents.



Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadlines including the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to accommodate the needs of the program.

Strong customer service and problem solving.

Excellent oral, written communication skills.



Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
