SENIOR NETWORK TRANSPORT ENGINEER, Information Services and Technology, Network Services

Senior Transport Engineers (NTEs) are responsible for Network Services infrastructure implementation and project management, including needs analysis, assessment, planning, staging and installation, documentation, billing, and coordinating support personnel. NTEs also support the ongoing management and maintenance of network service components encompassing equipment closets and racks; riser, conduit, power, and cabling systems; switches, routers, and wireless transceivers; architectural and electrial schematic diagrams; and AV-related communciations services infrastructure. Senior NTEs have greater experience, demonstrate mastery, and train and share their expertise with less qualified NTEs. They are also responsible for needs analysis, research and evaluation of more specialized or sophisticated solutions, projects, and proposals, and have a more systemic understanding of and purview over network services and resources.

B.A./B.S., BICSI RCDD, PMP, ITIL Foundations, and Cisco CCNA wired required and wireless certifications preferred. Knowledge and experience with hardware, software, and test and management tools. Knowledge of architectural drawings. Structured cable installation project management experience. More than 8 years of experience required.
