Position Summary
The position is a part-time position that reports to the Women's Basketball Head Coach.
Specific Responsibilities

  • Assisting in recruiting quality student-athletes in concert with the mission of the University.
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining positive team culture and chemistry.
  • Assisting in mentoring and counseling student-athletes.
  • Assisting in planning and conducting practices.
  • Assisting in scouting opponents and developing game strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining familiarity with applicable University, Landmark Conference, and NCAA regulations.
  • Representing the WBB program, River Hawk athletics, and Susquehanna University in a positive and professional manor.
  • Game day responsibilities.

    Required Qualifications
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    Knowledge of English language, including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar. Strong oral, written, and teaching skills. Detail oriented. Ability to advocate team concepts and work collaboratively as a member of the women's basketball coaching staff.

    Physical Demand
    Must possess the physical stamina to effectively coach the sport. Position requires the ability to move about the campus. Position requires the ability to talk and to hear instruction. Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach. Position requires walking and occasional stooping, crouching, and bending. Position requires occasional lifting and pushing. Talking: Frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Working conditions are indoors.

    Bachelor's Degree is required.

    Basketball coaching or playing experience. A positive and cooperative attitude and the ability to get along well and work collaboratively with others. A valid driver's license is required.
