Location: New Orleans, LA
The primary responsibility of the research assistant professor will be to facilitate ongoing research involving experiments with animal models, as well as, oversee day-to-day operations in the laboratory, including maintaining records, ordering supplies and supervising junior members of the laboratory.
Researcher will be responsible for managing the training, supervision and utilization of staff and students, as required for each task or project. He/She will also assist in coordination of experiments and in allocation of resources for research. He/She will also prepare publications to publish research findings, either independently or in collaboration with principal investigators, assist in writing grant proposals, and develop posters and other presentations.
The research assistant professor may be on-call for any and all animal issues (weekends included).
