The Center for Health Policy at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy seeks highly qualified applicants for a Research Specialist.
The position requires collaboration between the principal investigator(s) to develop research projects, administer policy studies/analysis in the lab and in field settings, and conduct data analysis of large and small data sets. The preferred candidate will have experience in Big Data analysis, Federal, State and Regional Policies regarding Health Care, Health Economics, Health Systems and Delivery Models. The incumbent will provide training and supervision to undergraduate research assistants, and coordinate data collection. This position will be involved with data preparation and basic analysis, and will help build an active participant pool for research studies, and collaborate in stimulus design and preparation. This position will be responsible for Center administration tasks: helping to order equipment, supervise research group meetings, and meet with the principal investigators and graduate students weekly about progress and goal-setting.
A Master's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience is required. Applicants must possess previous experience with lab administration and data analysis regarding health care and/or health economics. Knowledge of research methods and strong quantitative analytic skills is required.
Applicants must posses strong administrative and organizational skills, and demonstrate good communication and writing skills. Demonstrated grant-writing training and experience are also required. Experience with SAS STATA and Microsoft Office applications is required. Preference will be given to candidates with; Big Data analysis, Federal, State and Regional Policies regarding Health Care, Health Economics, Health Systems and Delivery Models.
