The Humanities Council at Princeton University is the academic home for 16 departments and 30 interdisciplinary humanities programs, all of which foster collaborative research and innovative teaching locally and globally.
Reporting to the Department Manager, this Humanities Council Program Manager works closely with the Faculty Directors of interdisciplinary programs, specifically Linguistics and others programs, to oversee all aspects of program administration. The Program Manager is responsible for managing concentrators and the certificate program, and ensuring that the faculty, students, and staff in each program have the necessary assistance to carry out their academic, research, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- academic and curricular management
- events management
- communications management and outreach
- administrative and project management
- teaching budget and financial management.
The program manager will participate in initiatives of the larger Council team and join in small group projects.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be available for occasional evening and weekend events
Time off may not be scheduled during high-volume days
Five-years work experience
Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of academic processes and procedures at Princeton University
Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Prime, Concur, SAFE, Blackboard, Wordpress
Experience working in higher education administration in the United States
