Assistant Professor of English, British Literature (1500-1820)

The Department of English at Stanford University seeks to fill two tenure-track positions in British literature from 1500-1820. We welcome applications from scholars working in any area, genre, or sub-field within these dates. Candidates need not cover the entire date range; for example, specialists in Renaissance, eighteenth-century, or Romantic literature are welcome to apply. The appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidates are expected to teach courses in the English Department at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
