Assistant Professor of 20th-21st Century American Literature (Tenure Track)
ALBION COLLEGE – tenure-track position in 20th and 21st century American literature beginning fall 2019.
Albion College invites applications for an assistant professor to teach 20 th and 21 st century
American literature with an interest in writers of color. Candidates must have a Ph.D., a record of scholarly activity, broad intellectual interests, and a demonstrable investment in engaged and effective teaching in a liberal-arts context. We are especially interested in candidates who are excited to teach Albion’s diverse student body and to contribute to a campus and host community that supports equality and inclusivity. Responsibilities include teaching a 3/3 load, designing and teaching courses that offer historical coverage in American literature, more specialized upper-level classes, college writing, and introductory courses contributing to Albion College’s general education requirements.
