THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE in the College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for a seasoned assistant professor or associate professor tenure-track position in Finance. The candidate is expected to publish high-quality finance research. The candidate will teach four courses per year, primarily in the college's MBA program, and participate in service activities.

CLEMSON UNIVERSITY is a premier land-grant, competitive admissions institution with approximately 23,500 students. The Finance program currently has 11 tenured/tenure-track faculty members. Members of the Finance Faculty have recently published in premier finance journals, including JF, JFE, JAE, JFQA and MS. Clemson's Finance Faculty supports a growing MBA program of over 600 students and is located in downtown Greenville, SC.

Clemson is a small college town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Greenville has recently been named as a "Top-10 Fastest Growing U.S. City [#4]" (CNN), "Most Fun, Affordable Cities [#5]" (Bloomberg BusinessWeek), and "Best City for Young Adults [#13]" (Forbes).


Successful candidates will possess a PhD in Finance or related field and are expected to be active researchers with a strong record of publishing in high-quality finance journals, commensurate with rank.
