Primary Function of Organization Unit: North Carolina State University is a land-grant university and home to about 35,000 students and is situated in the piedmont region of North Carolina. The Department of Health and Exercise Studies is part of University College. The mission of the Department of Health and Exercise Studies is to educate a globally diverse NC State population regarding the benefits of living a healthy and physically active lifestyle by providing equal opportunities and professional preparation in sport, fitness, health, and recreation. The Department of Health and Exercise Studies offers a variety of both activity and lecture courses. The Department also provides five academic minors including Coaching Education, Health, Outdoor Leadership, Sports Science, and Dance. Essential Job Duties: The Department of HES is accepting applications for the position of Lecturer on a part-time basis in areas such as Beginning Ballet, Beginning and Intermediate Jazz Dance, Tap, Movement Improvisation, Beginning and Intermediate Modern Dance, and Introduction to Laban Movement Analysis/Bartenieff Fundamentals for Spring 2019. These positions are short term, non-tenure track appointments. Candidates will be hired as Lecturer based on credentials and qualifications.
Minimum Education/Experience: A Master's degree in a relevant field and experience teaching at the college level are required. Degree must be obtained prior to start date.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: MFA in Dance or terminal degree in Dance or equivalent, CMA or CLMA or equivalent.
