Position Summary: The Department of Pathology at The University of North Carolina (UNC) in Chapel Hill is seeking a hematopathologist at the assistant or associate professor level on the clinical track. The Division of Hematopathology, staffed by 5 board certified hematopathologists, serves both adult and pediatric hematology/oncology programs including active bone marrow transplant and immunotherapy groups, and maintains a strong collaboration with the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the faculty member will be expected to participate fully in the departmental academic and educational programs. Ample opportunity and resources are provided to develop and maintain a collaborative research career.
Education Requirements: MD, MD/PhD, or DO, board certified hematopathologist
Qualification and Experience: The successful applicant will have expertise in peripheral blood, lymph node, and bone marrow pathology with proficiency in flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular analyses for the work-up of clinical cases.
