ASSISTANT DIRECTOR RECREATION

Job description

Duties: Provides administrative leadership for Campus Recreation Membership Services including membership services staff management, establishment and execution of department-wide customer service standards and staff training, membership/program sales and reporting. Under limited supervision, coordinates daily operations of membership services office. Develop and implement dynamic marketing program. The basic functions of this position are to generate membership revenue and expand and retain current membership base. Coordinate production of all publications, advertisements and marketing pieces; utilize plasma screen messaging boards, social media and update bulletin boards. Manage department website and provide up-to-date dynamic content. Administer Fusion sales software and associated key performance indicators. Provides direct supervision to part-time membership services staff and part-time work study assistant. Attends benefits, wellness and information fairs, and other marketing opportunities to promote Penn Campus Recreation. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Campus Recreation and receives guidance of plans and review of results from the DRIA Business Office.

Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree is required with 2 to 3 years of experience in university, community, or commercial fitness and recreation centers. Candidates must be willing to work evenings/weekends as program needs require.
