Job description

Duties: This full time staff member's primary role will be to support the development and conduct of research projects of the genetic counselors at the Basser Center for BRCA. S/he will be responsible for coordinating data collection, data entry, and handling participant recruitment and follow up for multiple genetics related research protocols. S/he may also be asked to conduct chart reviews and therefore knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. The research assistant will assist in other tasks related to new and existing projects including literature searches, submission of IRB/regulatory documentation, and coordination of and preparation for study meetings. In addition s/he will perform other clinical support tasks of the genetic counselors. This individual must be organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. BA/BS preferred and minimum of 1 year professional experience, Research or hospital administrative experience preferred.

* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
* Experience with Microsoft Office required
* Knowledge of medical and genetic terminology preferred
