Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

--Experience leading customer service functions at a two or four-year institution preferred.
--Prior experience in admissions office at a college or university is desirable.
--Prior call center, customer service, marketing, and/or sales experience a plus.
--Recent UW-Madison graduates with tour guide, admissions volunteer, or other relevant experience will be considered.
--Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
--Demonstrated attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
--Proven ability to work with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds.
--Strong facility with the use of computers, office software applications, database systems, and communication tools.
--Facility to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
--Capacity to direct and lead professional and student staff.
--Capacity to thrive in a high volume and fast-paced office.
--Evening and weekend work required during peak times.



License or certificate:

This position is eligible to travel. A valid driver's license is required to operate a state vehicle or secure a rental vehicle for out of state travel.



Position Summary:

The Admissions & Recruitment Customer Relationship Coordinator supervises our team who administers and coordinates customer relationship activities for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment including, but not limited to: front desk operations, FAQ and informational databases and resources, office customer service operational processes, communication tools (phone, email, chat, etc.), and customer service standards and protocols. This position is responsible for ensuring that interactions (in-person, e-mail, phone, chat, written, etc.) are professional, efficient, friendly, productive, timely, and consistent with office messages and established policies and procedures.

The full-time academic staff position is available with a desired begin date of October 1, 2018. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, with title and salary dependent on qualifications. The minimum starting salary is $38,500.
