Overview

Several labs at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute are seeking a research specialist for rodent breeding. The research specialist will work closely with multiple members of each research lab to understand breeding needs and create and execute a successful breeding plan. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this position is to breed >20 transgenic rat and mouse lines in coordination with the BrainCOGS research labs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, psychology, or another related field is required.
  • Previous experience with rodent breeding and/or rodent handling is a major advantage and/or work in a cognitive science lab is beneficial but not necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
