Job Summary

1. Provide discipline specific instructional assistance to students and faculty.
2. Monitor operations of the Learning Commons for all open hours including days, evenings, and/or weekends.
3. Instruct students and faculty on software applications and hardware utilization in the Learning Commons.
4. Promote awareness and use of Learning Commons resources and instructional support services.
5. Maintain campus library, demonstrate research tools and methods, promote materials and process circulation.
6. Manage file organization, software, reserve textbooks and electronics checkout.
7. Respond to and/or forward technical issues to appropriate personnel.
8. Assist students with independent study courses and programs.
9. Conduct lab and classroom orientations and occasional workshops.
10. Perform special projects as assigned by supervisor


Minimum Qualifications

1. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part/full-time basis.
2. AA/AAS Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in related field.
3. Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Products.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty, and function well in a fast paced team environment.
5. Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks or requests while handling numerous interruptions.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Ability to handle confidential tasks and materials with discretion.
8. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.


Preferred Qualifications

1. Expertise in maintaining and problem solving basic software, hardware, and other equipment issues as required.
2. Experience with dual boot iMacs and iMac associated software.
