Internal Medicine – Faculty Opportunity
The Department of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking qualified applicants with a background and experience in General Internal Medicine for a full time faculty position.
The mission of the Section of General Internal Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine is to provide excellence in patient care, education and research. Our General Internal Medicine faculty provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to our patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, while teaching the fundamentals of general internal medicine to the health care providers of the future. Members of the Section of General Internal Medicine also play key roles in the care of patients with HIV and hepatitis C. Faculty are involved in numerous educational and research programs in areas such as clinical skills training, physician-patient communications, ambulatory medical education and clinical trials. Currently there are 26 full-time faculty whose interests include medical education, obesity, HIV Medicine, integrative medicine, behavioral health, palliative care and geriatrics.
- An M.D. or M.D. /Ph.D. with active board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Possesses credentials for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the culture, needs, and aspirations of the community.
