Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the MFA Program in Creative Writing (Fiction Writer)
Temple University’s Department of English is seeking a fiction writer to join the MFA Program in Creative Writing as a tenure-track Assistant Professor, to begin in Fall 2019. Candidates should have an MFA or PhD in creative writing, at least one book of fiction published by a prominent house, and teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate level. Responsibilities will include teaching graduate workshops and seminars, undergraduate workshops and courses on contemporary fiction; directing and reading master’s projects (theses) and grading comprehensive exams; and serving on departmental, college, or university committees. We are especially interested in applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
