This position is responsible for general guidance, training of The Coliseum student assistants, and sometimes supervision during events managed under The Coliseum across campus. Additional job responsibilities are; opening and closing functions of the building including inspecting the facility; checking restrooms, classrooms, entrance/exit doors, and other items listed on the opening/closing checklist. Ensure meeting spaces, classrooms, courts, restrooms, locker-rooms, concourses, and other public areas of the venue have been suitably cleaned and have the proper layout for the day’s activities. Routinely check restrooms and other areas of the facility for cleanliness. Communicate and support academic partners, athletic coaches or other organizational leaders who may be hosting events.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Requires some experience in facility or event management. Must be able to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Must possess strong communication and excellent customer service skills. The ability to work in a dynamic environment; ability to adjust to change and diverse responsibilities; and the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively. Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

One to two year’s experience in facility and event management

Salary $10.78/ hourly (minimum) to $12.93/hourly (midpoint) Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds

- Must be able to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holiday shifts

Does this position require any special certification/ license? If yes, please specify. Current American Heart Association certified First Aid/CPR/AED or ability to obtain certification within first 90 days of employment.
