Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment
The Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment will assist with the development and implementation of transfer student recruitment and yield plans that are consistent with Miami University’s mission and goals. Under supervision of the Senior Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment, the Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of the transfer process, including application and scholarship awarding, transfer visit opportunities, strengthening and developing relationships with community colleges, and assisting with other general admission counseling duties such as domestic first year and international application review, admission presentations, and admission special events.
Manage a transfer student recruitment territory. Assist with the development and implementation of a transfer student recruitment and yield plan that is well-researched, pragmatic, and consistent with the University’s mission. Collect, analyze and utilize transfer student data to develop reports and determine event coordination and transfer travel.
In conjunction with the Senior Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment and the Visit and Events team, organize, coordinate, and manage on- and off-campus transfer student recruitment yield events and campaigns including, but not limited to Transfer Preview Days, Transfer Thursdays, and meetings with community colleges advisors.
Correspond with students and their families through the utilization of email, phone calls, and social media. Assist in managing the transfer and relocation email inbox. Utilize customer relations management system (Slate) to document all activity, interactions, and statistical records of prospective transfer students and applicants. In collaboration with Enrollment Marketing & Communication, assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of transfer recruitment and yield communication plans including print publications, web, and social and digital media.
Conduct transfer application review and assist with the selection of transfer scholarship recipients. Review domestic first year, international, and non-degree applications as needed. Utilize Transferology and credit evaluation tools to assist transfer students.
Bachelor’s degree required.
One to three years of full-time, professional experience in higher education or related field.
