Degree and Area of Specialization:
Degree requirements: B.S. in biological sciences or related field, OR B.S. in computer sciences with 2 semesters of biological sciences classwork.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Experience in molecular biology or bioinformatics is required, and some experience with python is required. Experience with high-throughput DNA sequencing and/or computer programming is preferred but not required. Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. While some non-classroom experience is desired, new graduates of molecular biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
License or certificate:
Biosafety training is required and can be completed upon hire.
This is a great job opening for someone with experience in molecular biology and/or bioinformatics. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in biological science concepts and have some experience in writing python scripts, and will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating experimental results.
