Degree and Area of Specialization:

Degree requirements: B.S. in biological sciences or related field, OR B.S. in computer sciences with 2 semesters of biological sciences classwork.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Experience in molecular biology or bioinformatics is required, and some experience with python is required. Experience with high-throughput DNA sequencing and/or computer programming is preferred but not required. Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. While some non-classroom experience is desired, new graduates of molecular biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

License or certificate:

Biosafety training is required and can be completed upon hire.

Position Summary:

This is a great job opening for someone with experience in molecular biology and/or bioinformatics. While some non-classroom experience is desired, new graduates of molecular biology, bioinformatics or related fields are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in biological science concepts and have some experience in writing python scripts, and will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating experimental results.
