The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science seeks applications for a Unit Administrator. This leadership role will require strong supervisory skills and be accountable for oversight of both the personnel and the work carried out in the following areas: administrative support, office management, scheduling, data analytics, and research. The Unit Administrator may perform a range of other duties within the organization, as needed, but is distinguished by their expertise in strong supervisory skills and interpersonal versatility in a diverse work environment. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring budgets, preparing forecasts, projecting future needs and ensuring proper use of funds.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, as Master's Degree is preferred. Four years work experience with increasing responsibility in management and administrative functions is required, as are 2 years of supervisory experience. A strong financial background and experience implementing, monitoring, and managing projects is essential. Applicants must have the ability work collaboratively, effectively, and productively in a changing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
