Position Information
The Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE), Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) is looking for an outreach coordinator to administer our Event and Outreach Program, including hosting various technical conferences, educational training programs, celebrations, and Annual Board of Advisors meetings. The position will solicit sponsorship for these events and cultivate donor and sponsor relations for subsequent larger and continuing interactions with UCR and CE-CERT, with assistance from the BCOE donor relation team.

Minimum Requirements
Working knowledge of the campus and/or medical center, its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure.
Skill to maintain confidentiality.
Working knowledge of fundraising, donor relations and public relations concepts, principles, procedures and techniques.
Good written and interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the campus and/or medical center and with external constituencies.
Computer proficient and able to use a variety of software in a Windows environment, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.
Good organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments. Provide proficient follow-up, and make effective timely decisions despite tight deadlines and competing projects.
Good written and interpersonal commu nication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside constituencies.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Raisers Edge, a donor management program.

Strong sense of ethical conduct that will inspire confidence and motivation with the proven ability to persuade colleagues and donor prospects, while maintaining confidentiality in all matters as they relate to sensitive donor relations issues

Experience in coordinating and integrating fundraising and events with sponsors, media relations and marketing professionals. Experience in development.

Interest in emerging technologies that improve our environment, our health, and economic viability.

Interest in transfer of information and education of our region's diverse high school and higher education population.
