Student Svcs Prog Coordinator II
Location Hendrix Student Center
Full/Part Time Full-Time
Coordinates off-campus internships and instructs the corresponding INT courses, serves in a career counseling role, develops, implements, and evaluates graduate student career services programs and workshops, cultivates relationships for the purpose of providing professional development opportunities, and conducts departmental assessments and social media outreach. Performs other duties as assigned.
Internship Programs and Partnership Development: 35%-Essential
Manages and coordinates the employer cultivation, development, strategic direction, and prosperity of off-campus internship services while making recommendations for budget requests, resources, policy and procedural changes, programming, and staff needs related to off-campus internships. This includes, but is not limited to, serving as the instructor for the Career Center's internship courses (INT) for graduate-level and off-campus internships Develops strategic partnerships at Clemson and beyond for the purpose of implementing providing professional development events.
Career Counseling : 25%-Essential
Provides comprehensive and in-depth career services to individuals and groups in a 21,000+ student body setting. This includes, but is not limited to career counseling, providing workshops, acting as an advisor to special student groups like SEMA and the Presidential Management Fellows program, and educating the campus about the career center's most recent large-scale initiative known as career competencies.
Social Media and Web Development: 20%-Essential
Manages online resources and content development for Career Center; co-administrate web content for networks, systems, and applications; expand online and social media outreach and resources.
Graduate Programming Outreach: 15%-Essential
Manages and coordinates the development, strategic direction, and prosperity of graduate student services while making recommendations for budget requests, resources, programming, and staff needs related to graduate student career services.
Research and Assessment: 5%-Essential
Assists supervisor in researching best practices and generate, validating, and controlling reports as they relate to the departments, divisions, and universities strategic plannings. Stay abreast of federal, local, and university regulations and trends that might affect internship policies and procedures.
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Work Exp: At least 1 year's experience in career services or related field.
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 05 ($ 32,838.00 - $ 45,300.00)
