University Digital and Print Design Specialist
The University Digital and Print Design Specialist participates in the production of projects encompassing a wide range of media types such as web pages, social media, print and other publications. Main responsibilities involve designing, building, and troubleshooting media, while adhering to standards and promoting institutional brand. In addition to a strong attention to detail, the candidate must be adept at juggling multiple assignments and producing quality work under tight deadlines.
Design and create compelling, current, visually appealing print and digital marketing, promotion, and communication materials, following Miami University's brand guidelines.
Assists with the oversight and maintenance of university branded web and print templates.
Uses standard tools and best practices to check web pages for validity and accessibility compliance, and corrects or refers problems as necessary.
Regularly update skills and training in best practices, innovation, and industry standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Studies, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience designing publications for multimedia platforms including (but not limited to) web, print, social media, email, and digital advertising.
Experience designing websites and maintaining branded website templates using a content management system such as Cascade Server, Drupal, or WordPress.
Proven knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other design software.
Proven knowledge of the web production process and working knowledge of HTML and CSS (SASS or SCSS preferred).
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with a broad range of campus constituencies.
Ability to work independently but also collaborative with peers and cross-campus constituents.
