Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required. Degree preferably in education, business management, biological or social sciences, or health-related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
1-2 years experience providing administrative support in an academic, public health, community or clinical health care setting is preferred. Previous experience in educational setting preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment at the Senior level. Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience
License or certificate:
The Department of Surgery is seeking an entry-level Student Services Coordinator to assist in med-student program coordination and general education administration, under the general direction of the Assistant Administrator of Education. The candidate will work with the Medical Student Services Coordinator and Surgery Block Director to ensure successful management of the medical student program within the Department of Surgery. Additionally, incumbent will assist the Assistant Administrator of Education, and the Office of Education within the Department of surgery with administrative and programmatic support. Candidates should have an expressed interest in, or prior experience with medical education.
