Degree and Area of Specialization:

Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

License/certification: One year licensed as a Psychologist and must be immediately license eligible to practice in the State of Wisconsin. Minimum of one year experience in a college mental health setting with the ability to provide clinical service, consultation and outreach to diverse college student populations; Prefer the candidate to be certified in sport psychology, such as the Certified Mental Performance Consultant credential.

Strongly preferred qualities of the candidate include: Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams including medical providers and academic faculty/staff; Experience in adolescent and/or young adult mental health crisis assessment, brief intervention, and confidentiality requirements; Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of diverse socio-economic, racial/ethnic, international, and LGBTQ backgrounds, including knowledge and sensitivity about multicultural issues.

Minimum of 7 years related professional experience for appointment at the Senior level.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director-Student Services, the Director of Clinical and Sport Psychology for student-athletes will oversee the delivery of clinical and sport psychology services provided to student-athletes within the established medical model.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. Anticipated start date on or after October 5, 2018.
