Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a similar field, is required. Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Athletic Training Certification is required from the BOC AT. Wisconsin Athletic Trainer License required. The most qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of experience working as a full time staff member within intercollegiate athletics and direct experience with men's and women's track and field and cross country.

Under the general supervision of Team Physicians and Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine provide athletic training services that lead to screening for preventative programs, treatment, rehabilitation and referral of student-athletes to Team Physicians. Principally the position provides and directs athletic training services for men's and women's track and field and cross country. In an integrated environment of all intercollegiate sports according to Departmental policy, Big Ten and NCAA rules. Key interactions are with the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, the Team Physicians, the coaches and the student athletes in the performance of duties. An ability to work with diverse cultures and personalities is required as well as a desire to interact in a team approach with other staff members and medical professionals.

Conditions of Appointment: This is an Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
