Job Summary

The Office Assistant duties and responsibilities include: Data entry, maintaining student files: photocopying and scanning documents; various computer projects using Microsoft Word, Excel, and D2L; sorting and retrieving student records. Periods of extended computer use will be required; other duties as assigned. May be originating emails and comments to students.

Students will receive a working knowledge and ability to be productive with Microsoft Word, Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

Some proficiency in keyboarding & Microsoft Office (Excel/Word). Must be detail oriented and have good spelling skills. Commitment to handle student files in a responsible & confidential manner following FERPA rules & the ability to communicate clearly & effectively. Must be reliable.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior office/clerical experience & excellent organizational & time management skills. Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work alone & perform duties with limited supervision & working productively.

Work Hours
SPRING 2018 position available with varied hours Mon-Thurs, based on office needs with consideration to student’s schedule. Total number of hours available for work are max of 20 per week.
