Scope of Job:
Teach 1-2 undergraduate courses per semester in Mexican American studies using departmental materials and guidelines; hold regular office hours according to departmental guidelines; attend professional development meetings prior to and during the semester; report student progress and grades to Instructors of Record.
1. Be in good academic standing
2. Hold a bachelor’s or higher degree appropriate to the area of service
3. Have successfully completed eighteen (18) hours of graduate course work in the assigned
4. Be registered full-time for the respective semester (nine semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine semester credit hours during spring semester, six semester credit hours during the
summer session(s)), or in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only
remaining requirements on the degree plan.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications:
Must be a full-time graduate student (9 hours during the Fall or Spring semester and 6 hours during Summer months).
Able to work well with diverse groups of people.
Effective communication skills for interacting with prospective students.
Must have 18 graduate credit hours in Mexican American Studies or equivalent.
