The Statistics Department at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Applied Statistics, Theoretical Statistics, or Probability. This is a research and teaching position with student advising and department committee responsibilities.

Applicants should have demonstrated strong research abilities. A Ph.D.
in Statistics or a related area is required. Applicants should submit a letter of application, curriculum vita, a statement of research and teaching interests, graduate transcripts, not more than one preprint/reprint, and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted. The Stanford Statistics department currently has 22 regular faculty members, as well as a distinguished group of emeriti. Many professors have joint appointments in other departments, including positions in mathematics, economics, the School of Medicine, the School of Engineering, and the School of Education.
