Tusculum University’s Office of Admission is seeking applications for full-time Admission Representatives for both Traditional populations and Adult & Online Studies.
DESCRIPTION - Traditional - Greeneville, TN
The primary responsibility is to educate prospective students and families about Tusculum University and its programs. Candidates are required to develop a rapport with a variety of other constituents including counselors, faculty, TU staff, alumni, and current students. Fairly extensive travel in the fall & early spring (12-18 weeks) will be to high schools and college recruitment programs in selected Eastern and Southern states (primarily: West TN, GA, AL and NC). Additional primary duties include significant tele-counseling, reviewing applications, interviewing future Tusculum Pioneers, assisting with all recruitment events.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Prior recruitment experience with a four-year college or university, preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills, an outgoing personality, the ability to work independently, and as part of a team, a flexible attitude, and a willingness to work frequent evenings and weekends is desired. This is a comprehensive position and requires a strong work ethic and outgoing personality to be successful. Extensive knowledge of computers and a good driving record are also required. A Bachelors degree is required..
DESCRIPTION - Adult & Online Studies - Knoxville, TN
This position is responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing recruitment strategies that generate prospect and lead pools for assigned programs. Aggressively recruits for the adult degree completion, online, and graduate programs to prospective students from interest through enrollment. Maintains contact with prospective students and applicants to encourage completion of the application file and subsequent enrollment. Travel will be extensive to local businesses, schools, career fairs, and other locations primarily in upper East Tennessee and surrounding borders.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Prior recruitment and/or marketing experience preferred. Effective oral, listening, and written communication skills, an outgoing personality, customer service skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, a flexible attitude, and a willingness to work frequent evenings and weekends. This position covers a wide range of responsibilities and requires a strong work ethic to be successful. Extensive knowledge of computers and an excellent driving record are also required. Proficiency with social media for platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a plus.
