SIMULATION LAB MANAGER
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assists with upkeep of the simulation/skills lab used to provide clinical education to students and other internal and external customers. This position is responsible for 1) the routine maintenance of equipment for optimum performance and life, 2) monitoring the inventory of supplies for the skills and simulation laboratories and 3) providing faculty with correct supplies for lab instruction. Additional responsibility includes restocking, recycling, set-up, and disassembly of instructional lab equipment. Receives general supervision from Program Directors of Associates Degree Nursing and Licensed Vocational Nursing. Exercise no supervision.
NOTES: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, allied health professions, business or management.
Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in a professional work environment. Strong organizational and managerial skills. Maintain current professional licensure as applicable.
Education: Master’s degree in nursing, allied health profession, business or management.
Experience: Experience in health professions simulation and skills education, three years clinical experience, and teaching experience.

Ability to: 11) Exhibit the characteristics of a professional, for example, appearance, attendance, cooperation, and timely and courteous response to inquiries. 12) Interact well with administrators, faculty, staff and students as well as representatives from the workforce. 13) Demonstrate a high level of skill in operating simulation information technology and equipment. 14) Communicate effectively. 15) Organize and monitor supplies. 16) Follow purchasing policies and procedures. 17) Prepare clear and concise data regarding the performance measures of students in the simulation lab.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Significant exertion on a daily basis. Awkward positions and sustained activities require strength. Frequent moderate lifting is required (30-60 lbs.). Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
