The Center for Academic Enrichment and Success (CASE) at Lewis University invites applications for a Director of Academic Services to lead and support a team of professional staff who provide academic support programs and services for students. The Director coordinates a variety of personalized and comprehensive student support, retention, enrichment, advising, and intervention initiatives, as well as facilitates the University’s Introduction to the College Experience course for new students.
Some of the primary responsibilities of this position require the Director to develop annual and long-term departmental objectives and develop and conduct assessment of programs. The Director will also manage intervention services for all undergraduate students with deficiencies and oversee the academic probation and dismissal processes. This position also provides comprehensive, holistic academic advising and coaching for undecided students.

The Center for Academic Enrichment and Success (CASE) works serves students with diverse needs and improve academic performance through advising, tutoring and other innovative academic programs. CASE is home to multiple resources, offices and programs that work to foster a holistic learning environment for both the traditional and adult student.
A master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Counseling, Communication, or related field is required. Highly qualified candidates will possess a strong foundation in student development theory, educational support structures, and academic advising. Background and experience with the academic support needs of student athletes and academic certification of student athletes is a plus. At least five years of practical (post-graduate) student counseling/support background with work experience attending to probationary and/or at-risk student populations and/or undeclared students. Must have at least three years of managerial experience. Must possess the ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team. Must be highly effective in the areas of communication, organization, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
