Carpentry/Drywall Technician III

Job description

Intermediate level Technician. Perform all general, preventative and supportive maintenance tasks. Assist level III techs and Master Craftsperson on emergency and corrective and/or preventative maintenance. Perform independent and high level complexity maintenance work including detection and correction of mechanical failures.



Performs all general, preventative and supportive maintenance tasks, which include, but are not limited to the following duties:

  • Assist level III technicians and master craft person on emergency and corrective and/or preventative maintenance
  • Perform independent and high-level complexity maintenance work including detection and correction of mechanical failures
  • Performs skilled carpentry work in rough and finishing carpentry
  • Cabinet and furniture installation and repairs
  • Renovating offices/classrooms
  • Repairs and maintenance work
  • Detection and correction of roof leaks, doors, windows and frames
  • Must be able to complete drywall construction
  • Install wallboards to ceilings or to interior walls of buildings and apply plaster
  • Smooths out imperfections with trowels and shackle
  • Applies coats of compound after panel are mounted to wall or ceilings


  • Ability to work in high places necessary
  • Valid state driver's license is mandatory
  • Position is subject to pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to work dayshift, nightshift or weekend schedules
  • Extensive knowledge of appropriate safety standards is essential


Finish dry wall using 20 mud. Strong preference will be given to those applicants with significant dry wall experience.
