The Department of Political Science at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin in August 2019. We seek a broadly trained political scientist with a specialization in public law (constitutional law and/or judicial politics). Research emphasis may be in either the American or comparative context. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, the successful candidate will reflect the Department's commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in American constitutional law and in his/her other areas of expertise.
Clemson University is the Land Grant University for the State of South Carolina and is located within the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains 30 miles southwest of Greenville. The Department offers a BA and BS in Political Science and a Ph.D. in Policy Studies.
A Ph.D. in Political Science by the time of employment is required. Salary is competitive.
