The work of the ISM touches a broad array of disciplines, including

Anthropology ~ History of Art and Architecture ~ Cultural Studies ~ Creative Writing ~ Ethnomusicology ~ Film Studies ~ Liturgical Studies ~ Musicology ~ Religious Studies ~ Ritual Studies ~ Religion and Literature ~ Theatre Studies ~ Theology ~ Visual Arts ~ World Religions

and more.

Fellows have the opportunity to pursue their scholarly or artistic projects with access to Yale unparalleled resources.  In addition to a competitive stipend, fellows may qualify for research funds, subsidized housing, and relocation costs.  Fellows may also have the option to teach.

In addition, collections-based short-term fellowships are now offered.
