Posting Summary:
The College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences seeks highly qualified applicants for an Administrative Coordinator to join the administrative support team in the Department of Environmental Sciences. The incumbent will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and inquiries of the faculty, graduate students and staff of the department. The Administrative coordinator provides support for the academic mission of the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: front desk reception, facility coordination, departmental support, data entry and database reporting, and the organizing department events.

A High School Diploma with at least one year in an administrative support position is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred may substitute for experience. More than one year of providing administrative support in an academic or university environment is preferred, as is experience working with students. Applicants must possess a strong interpersonal skill set as well as written and oral communication skills. The incumbent must have working knowledge of office practices and procedures and the ability to apply policies/procedures in the performance of job duties in a professional office environment. Organizational abilities, self-motivation, and good interpersonal skills are required. The ability to interact with faculty, staff, students, and visitors with an understanding of protocol and confidentiality is required. Incumbent must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, web searching, appointment scheduling (such as Outlook Calendar), and e-mail. Knowledge of SIS and UBI are highly desirable.
