The Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Curriculum for the College of Business (COB) is a full time Administrative Professional position reporting to the Dean of the College of Business. As a member of the College's Leadership Team, the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Curriculum will work with the Dean, Associate Dean for Accreditation and Operations, and COB department chairs to provide leadership and direction for the College. The Associate Dean, in conjunction with the Dean and the Associate Dean for Accreditation and Operations, will help guide and monitor the College's strategic direction, annual reports, enrollment management, and AACSB accreditation.
The individual holding this position is primarily responsible for providing leadership while driving excellence and quality in the MBA programs (traditional, corporate, and MBA Panama), International Programs, and the COB undergraduate curriculum with strategic responsibility for and oversight of the COB core curriculum and COB interdisciplinary courses. The Associate Dean will have an active role in assessment of the MBA program and the college's interdisciplinary programs and courses, and will maintain a supportive role in assessment of the College's undergraduate core and undergraduate programs. The Associate Dean will work with the College's Curriculum Team on College strategic curricular initiatives. The Associate Dean will also work with the Coordinator of the College of Business Advisement Center to ensure a high-quality academic advising experience for COB undergraduate students. The Associate Dean will work with the Director for International Business and the Coordinator for the Business Administration program regarding strategic responsibility and oversight for curricular and assessment for these programs. Responsibilities also include representing the COB and the Dean in university administrative groups and in internal and external events as needed, and performing any other duties assigned by the dean.
1. A Tenured Associate or Full Professor in the College of Business at Illinois State University with a record of successful leadership
2. Effective interpersonal skills, analytical and supervisory skills, and general knowledge of and interest in AACSB accreditation processes and standards.
3. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
