Job description

Duties: We are looking for a highly motivated, scientifically inquisitive and dedicated individual to join a translational cancer genomics laboratory as a Research Specialist A studying prostate cancer. The laboratory is using patient samples to study the role of inherited DNA repair genes in prostate tumor formation and response to therapy. The Research Specialist A will perform basic molecular and cellular biology techniques including DNA and RNA extraction and next generation based sequencing. Additional opportunities are available in organoid generation and study depending on background and expertise.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree, in biological or chemical sciences, or related field and 0 to 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Laboratory experience preferred. Experience with large complex datasets, including rudimentary bioinformatics skills are beneficial but not required.
