The University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (UK CAER) is seeking an Executive Administrator for the Center Director. This position will provide executive operations management, project management, and office administration support for the Center Director and his direct reports to further UK CAER's mission. Major responsibilities include: supporting the Director's Office as they develop complex and dynamic initiatives ranging from financial, strategic, and operational activities; serving as the Center's subject matter expert for travel; facilitating and completing communications with senior level management on special projects to progress completion; modeling and displaying service excellence and commitment to excellent customer service; providing operational support, including the development and establishment of agendas, events, facilitating communication, minutes, ad hoc presentations, etc.; coordinating events and schedule for the Center Director; communicating with upper level management, key stakeholders, and others using clear and concise written and verbal communication; and coordinating and facilitating communications for the UK CAER Advisory Board.

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); occasionally pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 10lbs; and communicating effectively with individuals at various levels across the Enterprise.
Monday-Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; As an exempt level position, evenings, nights, and weekends will be occasionally required to meet departmental needs. Occasional domestic travel may be required.
A qualified candidate will have good judgement, attention to detail, dependability, accuracy, professionalism, good collaboration, time management, diplomacy, ability to maintain confidentiality, emotional intelligence, ability to multi-task, and organizational, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, customer service, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
